John Muir Hiker Mountain Lover Bowl

Sweet John Muir quote mountain bowl.

Stamped inside the rim:

John Muir is stamped on the bottom.

This bowl is hand thrown on the potter's wheel from an ochre stoneware clay. I hand draw the mountains with black underglaze and hand stamp each letter. The letters are painted black. The outside is textured for good gripping. The glaze on the outside is a fabulous dessert sage shino. I hand paint the mountains with green shino glaze and the snow caps with white underglaze. The interior of the bowl is finished with a clear glaze coat.

This bowl measures approx. 6" x 3"
